Hey there, and welcome to Brain Body Bestie—I’m so glad you’re here.
This blog was born out of a deeply personal journey. For most of my life, I lived in a state of quiet disconnection. I looked like I had it all together on the outside, but inside, I was often overwhelmed, numb, or running on autopilot. The older I got, the more I realized that living a dissociated life wasn’t just exhausting—it was detrimental to my health, my relationships, and my sense of self.
Then I discovered the vagus nerve, and everything changed.

The vagus nerve is one of the most important nerves in your body. It runs from your brainstem down through your neck, chest, and abdomen, touching almost every major organ along the way. It plays a huge role in regulating your nervous system—especially the parasympathetic side, which helps you rest, digest, and feel safe in your body.
Learning about this magical nerve made me realize just how disconnected my brain and body had become. I wasn’t broken—I was dysregulated. And the more I learned how to work with my nervous system instead of against it, the more grounded, peaceful, and alive I began to feel.
That’s why I created Brain Body Bestie—as a safe space to explore nervous system healing, emotional regulation, and mind-body connection. This is where I teach myself how to come back to the body, how to feel again, and how to build safety from the inside out. And I’m sharing everything I learn in the hopes that it helps you too.
